I’ve got to know Mano for the past year with coming to him with my cyst on the spine. He advised me that after 3 injections that it would be advisable to remove the cyst by surgery, as it was to far down to go away on its own. I was worried about having the operation, but only by the complactions of what may or may not happen. I had seen great reports about Mano, and the many serious operations that he has done, and of how much respect for him that many people have for this man, so I decided to go ahead as I knew without a dought, he would fix me, and take the pain away that I’ve had for so long. I would advise anyone to put themselves in his fantastic hands. He’s the BEST SURGEON EVER.

I will be forever grateful that I was assigned to Mr Shanmuganathan. I got diagnosed this year with Chiari Malformation type 1 with a syrinx after having an MRI after i was diagnosed with epilepsy. I was so scared going for my first consultation. At this I met with Mr Shanmuganathans registrar who took me through all the details about the surgery I would need to stop my symptoms from getting worse. I got my surgery on the 30th November. The team in Ward 4f and Desmond the second surgeon along with the theatre team really were fantastic in easing my stress. Mr Shanmuganathan was very honest and attentive and didn't leave any details out. I am so glad the surgery is done but so grateful I'm still under his care. Amazing and kind man who i cannot recommend enough. A true gentleman.

i would highly recommend Dr Mano Shanmuganathan. i went to my doctor complaining for bad headaches and i went for a MRI scan and it showed i had chiari one malformation. only being 14 years old it sounded quite overwhelming but Dr Mano explained it all to me and said there was nothing to worry about. I went for my yearly check up and the headaches had gotten worse so he recommended surgery. That summer i got the surgery and i felt safe being operated on by him,he assured me that it will all go ok,and it did. he came up to the ward before and after the surgery to make sure i was ok. He's the only doctor that i would say is amazing ,he would remember what we talked about personally whichh no other doctors would and thats why i would 100% recommend him.
